I see that people can do things based on deeper motives. Is it possible
for people to just want a tattoo just for the sake of wanting one, in
your opinion?
Brady Goodwin answers: I am not anti tattoos. I am pro understanding the motives behind what
we do since we are not strictly instinctual beings. Each of us have
motives, desires, appetites, itches that we are trying to scratch and if
you don’t properly identify the itch, a tattoo will not scratch what
you’re after. If we can trace our motive back to wanting affirmation,
attention, recognition, significance, identity, meaning or a sense of
stability or authority . . . I would suggest that this itch can be
better scratched by investing in a deeper relationship with God the
Father, who gives us all those things with no regrets.
